Returning senior from Hayward, California majoring in Economics-Business. Linnea is a two time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and was selected for Ohio State Academic All-Big Ten. She also was selected for the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference All-Conference in smallbore rifle. Her last season's highs were 573 in Smallbore Rifle and 567 in Air Rifle out of a possible 600. Linnea was home schooled and active in the San Leandro Junior Optimist Rifle Club where she served two terms as Sergeant-At-Arms. She was a member of the Chabot Junior Rifle Club where she earned the ranking of Distinguished Expert, and competed in the Modesto Gallery League where she won 1st Marksman in 2000, and High Junior in 2001, and finished 2nd in both 3 and 4-position rifle in the California Junior Sectional Championships in 2001. She enjoys reading, writing, swimming, cooking, and politics. Daughter of Wayne Nygren and Marion McEwen.
